Occupational Therapist and/or COTA, Salem Office

Basic Responsibilities

• Develops programs to meet needs of children with fine motor, visual motor, self-help and sensory integration disabilities. 
• Implementation of this function may be accomplished through individual therapy, group therapy, consultation, parent instruction and/or community education.
• Provides diagnostic, consultative and/or direct therapy services for eligible children, directed toward the development of independent functional skills.
• Designs, fabricates and applies orthotic or prosthetic devices. 
• Provides guidance and support in the selection and use of adaptive equipment. 
• Serves as a resource and support person to promote understanding of skill development and maximize performance within play, self care and school occupation within the home and community environments.
